How Can I Get My Medical Marijuana Card?
There are a few steps to take in order to get your Medical Marijuana card. First, you need to make an appointment with one of our licensed physician who will conduct the State required health history and physical exam and deem you a good candidate for medical marijuana. After your appointment, you must file an application with the Florida Department of Health Compassionate Use Registry. The process is simple- you have to fill out an application, provide a picture and proof of residency and pay a $75 processing fee. You will be issued a temporary Medical Marijuana Card while you’re waiting for your official one to come in the mail.
What Will My First Appointment Be Like?
Plan to spend between 30 minutes to an hour with our physicians and health and wellness coach. Our skilled physicians will talk to you about your medical conditions and gently advise you on the steps you need to take to begin legally using medical marijuana. We will also discuss the benefits of medical marijuana, specifically how it can help ease your pain and give you a greater quality of life. We will answer any questions that you might have. After a full examination and assessment of your medical needs, we will let you know what the next steps are.
Do I Provide You With My Current Medical Records?
We encourage you to be as transparent as possible regarding your medical condition, any treatments you might have received, and your existing medical records. You must bring your medical records with you to your first appointment or have your physician send them to us. Seeing a full picture of your medical records and previous treatment will allow us to have a greater understanding of the full picture. Your confidentiality and security are our top priority and we will take good care of the information that you provide us.
